ATMA Exam Overview

The AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) for admission to postgraduate management programmes such as MBA, PGDM, MMS and MCA. The exam evaluates candidates on their Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills and Verbal Skills.

ATMA is conducted multiple times a year in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The examination consists of 180 questions, divided into six sections, with a total duration of 3 hours. Candidates receive 1 mark for every correct answer, while 0.25 marks are deducted for an incorrect answer.

ATMA scores are accepted by numerous management institutes across India. Candidates who qualify the examination can use their scores to apply to participating colleges, subject to each institute's individual eligibility, cutoff and admission criteria.

ATMA 2027 Exam Dates

The February 2027 ATMA examination is currently reported for February 21, 2027. Other 2027 sessions are expected during the year, but candidates should treat dates beyond the officially announced schedule as tentative until AIMS publishes them.

ATMA 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates planning to appear for ATMA 2027 should meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

• Generally, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in graduation.

• Final-year graduation students can also apply provisionally.

• Candidates who have completed CA may also be eligible.

• There is no upper age limit specified for ATMA.

• Candidates should check the eligibility requirements of the individual college to which they intend to apply, as admission criteria can vary.

ATMA 2027 Exam Pattern

ATMA consists of six sections covering Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative Skills and Verbal Skills. Each section contains 30 questions and has a 30-minute time limit.

• Incorrect answer: -0.25 mark

ATMA 2027 Application Fee

The latest reported ATMA fee is ₹2,000 including GST.

Fee concessions reported by AIMS include:

• Women candidates: 25% concession — approximately ₹1,500.

• Candidates from North-Eastern states: 50% concession — approximately ₹1,000.

ATMA 2027 Admit Card

Candidates who successfully register for the examination can download their admit card from the official ATMA portal.

The admit card generally contains:

• Candidate name

• Roll/PID number

• Examination date

• Examination timing

• Test centre

• Examination instructions

Candidates should carry the required admit card, registration documents and valid photo identification to the examination centre. The official ATMA instructions advise candidates to reach the centre at least one hour before the examination.
